CHOSS
The Willamette Valley Community Climbing Zine
Communities. Harvest. Organic. Support. Systems.
CHOSS is an artistic zine compiling stories, photography, poetry, prose, art, processes, and unqualified (sometimes qualified) philosophical anecdotes that members of the Willamette Valley climbing community have submitted.
For the Willamette Valley Climbing Community,
By the Willamette Valley Climbing Community.
This project is the culmination of a year’s worth of stories from our community, told in a multitude of mediums. Some stories are climbing adjacent, some are not. The Willamette Valley climbing community is the unique group of people that make this zine possible. All of the 50+ pieces in Vol. I were submitted by people in and around Eugene and the Willamette Valley.
CHOSS is a continuous, organic, visual anthology of our community. Like a timestamp. Or Vinyl.
Climbing here is the common denominator. You may be at the gym or crag every day, a weekend warrior, watching mellow vids while you eat breakfast, or you might not have your own climbing shoes. It doesn’t matter. If you’re interested in the community, we want to hear from you.
Submissions are now closed for Vol. II. Click here to head to our submission guidelines.
